Artwork

So, the other day I was looking through some pages online to see if I could find some artwork to put above my desk or in the bedroom and I stumbled across this gem: Tomasz Rut and Park West Gallery. I was absolutely floored! Talk about some amazing artwork pieces they have to offer. I really enjoyed browsing through their gallery…I couldn’t believe how much stuff they had to offer; something like 6 pages of different paintings that you could purchase. I was more drawn to some of the more whimsical pieces, but all of the paintings were brilliantly done. Tomasz Rut’s artwork was brilliant too - I was most drawn to his “Equestriana” painting.

I was also pretty pleased to see that Park West Galleries had a section on what to look for in a good piece of art. Newbies like myself might pay too much for a piece of artwork when the person behind it may or may not be a quality or well-known artist. I also didn’t know that appraisals aren’t based off the appraisers knowledge, they actually have things that they go by to estimate the value of the artwork. Overall I really liked this website and I think that if someone is really looking for a stellar painting that they should check them out.

Isn’t that something

I was one of those people that thought that when I had a child I’d get the cord blood (stem cells) because I thought if that made a difference in my childs future if they ever got sick, that’s great. I never knew that a woman could use her monthly cycle for the same effect. I thought it was just a little odd but once I really read up on it, I’ve learned that this is a great idea. I found C’elle a little while ago and it’s interesting - did you know that the lining in the uterus has many of the same properties as bone marrow? I mean, seriously? Think about how many people have been saved by bone marrow transplants?! How many people could be helped by this? It’s easy, non-invasive and private.

Basically once a month when the woman has her menstrual cycle, there is an easy to use kit that allows one to preserve a specimen so that it can later be transported to a facility where it can be cryo-preserved (read: frozen). After the specimen is frozen, it can remain that way indefinitely and once needed it can be used.

Now, for those who feel that stem cell research is bad, do you feel this way about this? No living being is used unneccessarily and most people (yes even women) feel that this process (the menstrual cycle) is unsanitary. To be honest, this idea does seem different to me (not really in a bad way) but if something can be used out of that to the greater good, possibly even cure things such as “diabetes, stroke and heart disease, as well as neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s, osteoporosis”….that to me is worth it. I know in my family, we’ve had both diabetes and heart disease and if I could prevent that or cure it to make sure that someone lives a long and productive life, isn’t that what is important?

With C’elle a womans menstrual cycle can provide a peace of mind to protect oneself and her family. Now the womb can be used to give life and preserve life - so Visit C’elle today!

Education

We all know that I was looking for College(s) to go to. I don’t have the pre-req’s to get into a State school, so I was looking into going into a local/city college. Maybe a specialty school. I’d really like to go back to school for Sonography/Ultrasound, so I decided to look around for loans and stuff like that. I wound up going to fafsa Online. I didn’t know that they offered low interest loans and even a deferred payment program to help you when you’re already enrolled in school.

There are so many different types of FAFSA loans, like the Pell Grant or the Stafford Student loan. Though I don’t qualify, a lot of others will - they have such a minute amount of requirements that you should meet. There is also this section on how to maximize your chances for getting the grant or loan, located under the FAFSA “secrets” page, things I wish I had known when I was just out of high school - that you should all know too. Like, I didn’t really know that you should apply as close to January 1st as possible. Also, did you know on your Income Taxes, that if you can lower your adjusted gross income by contributing the highest amount to your IRA or have a FlexPlan for health insurance, it can help you qualify for your FAFSA loan? My parents would have liked to have known that back in the day.

I hope that you all spread the word about the FAFSA application because a good education is not something you should waste. Live your dreams - go back to school!

PayPerPost

So, after waiting about 2 weeks for submitting my site to PayPerPost, I had given up any hope of whatsoever getting an email. Then, lo and behold, today I received the notification in my inbox. I was so ecstatic. Finally, I have a chance to sort of have that dream of being a journalist. You know, getting “assignments” and writing about them; no matter how weird they may seem.

It was always a dream of mine to be a journalist. I actually kinda went to school for it, but wound up moving instead. PayPerPost has so far been incredible. I had originally seen the site from Jenn.nu. I have been strapped for cash lately and thought that I could earn some money while doing something I love. Writing. It’s amazing to me that there is a place out there that I can just find someone out there that wants to have some little person like me blog about them on my own website and then pay me for it.

I could sure use the extra money this Holiday season. Its super tight around here, and I’d really like to go back to school. And PayPerPost is going to help me with that. If I find enough opportunities, I can put some money away for that rainy day. Its like my second job, you know? I would totally recommend PayPerPost as I can honestly say that they are going to be a big help to me. Their site is so easy to navigate and are easy to work with. I’m so glad to be working with them!
