Happy March!

I know I’m really bad at posting lately, but with work and class, I rarely have any downtime. I don’t have a lot of funny stories to share like some, but it’s all good. I’ll share what I have :)

I got an A on my first Psychology paper and can tell you that I thoroughly dislike the APA style and can’t wait until I’m back in an English Class so that I can write in MLA. It was based on the whole Keegan saga of last year and with this class I understand more about my behavior and a little about his. I don’t particularly feel any better about the situation, I think it was really crummy, but I understand why it had to be that way. I also got a 93 on my first math test and a 99 on my second. I’m very proud of myself. Hello, math teachers from high school? Yeah, this is me and I’m actually getting A’s.

I’ve been spending a lot of time reading in my downtime, or watching movies. Spending time with my bird, who is enjoying my company immensely (who wouldn’t when I bribe him? Totally new food, new perches, a ladder, a swing, new toys heh.) Back on the subject of reading, however, I’ve read Flowers in the Attic and I’m currently reading Petals in the Wind and I enjoyed the first book a lot. The second one, although good, is just not as good as the first. I really feel that Cathy has gone over the deep end and don’t feel her character has enough depth. I think the author could have really given her more dimensions other than men, sex and revenge.

I went to the horsetrack last weekend and had a great time. I won races 4 through 11. Beautiful horses – they almost made me want to get back into the saddle. Almost. I was going to go to a dog show (and meet with a breeder) last Sunday but due to unforseen circumstances I just couldn’t make it. Disclaimer: This breeder knows that I will not be getting a dog until after I graduate from College (around 2012) and knows of circumstances that need not be repeated here.

I’ve got a little chunk of change saved up right now and am going to slowly start buying things to furnish my own place. I’m going to start with the little stuff and then eventually get a storage unit and buy the big necessities like a bed, couches and things of that sort. I’ve got a style I want to achieve and I’ll do it, in my own time. When the time is right I’ll be looking into duplexes and triplexes to rent a unit. I really want to have sort of my “own” kind of place and don’t want an apartment.

Anyway, that’s all for now. I’ll try to post more often.
